Tech N9ne (American rapper)

* Tech N9ne has sold over two million albums and has had his music featured in film, television, and video games. In 2009, he won the Left Field Woodie award at the mtvU Woodie Awards.

His stage name originated from the TEC-9 semi-automatic handgun, a name given to him by rapper Black Walt due to his fast-rhyming Chopper style. Yates later applied a deeper meaning to the name, claiming that it stands for the complete technique of rhyme, with "tech" meaning technique and "nine" representing the number of completion.

Yates is known for his dynamic rhyme schemes and speed rap abilities known as the Chopper style. He stated that he purposely creates flow patterns in order to sound like a percussion while he raps. After hearing an instrumental he would come up with different kinds of patterns and then "fill in" the actual lyrics.

James Hong (American actor and director)

* James Hong's acting career spans more than 61 years and includes more than 350 roles in film, television, and video games.

Hong's well-known screen roles include the immortal ghost sorcerer Lo Pan in John Carpenter’s cult classic Big Trouble in Little China, the eye manufacturer Chew in Blade Runner, Evelyn Mulwray's loyal and vigilant butler in Chinatown, and the maître d' in the well-known Seinfeld episode "The Chinese Restaurant."

Known as the "man of a thousand faces," Hong has Neptune opposite (and ruling) the Sun in Pisces in the 12th house, with the Sun also widely conjunct his Pisces Ascendant. Perhaps Neptune could be called the "planet of a thousand faces," especially when it's personalized along with its sign (Pisces) and house (12th)!

Lou Diamond Phillips (American actor and director)

* Lou Diamond Phillips' big breakthrough came when he starred in the 1987 film La Bamba as the Chicano rock 'n' roll star Ritchie Valens. Phillips earned a supporting actor Golden Globe Award nomination for his role as a gangster in Stand and Deliver (1988) and a Tony Award nomination for his role as the King in The King and I (1996). In 2007, Phillips joined the touring troupe for Lerner and Loewe's Camelot in the role of King Arthur.

Phillips is very close to the Native American community. In 1990, he was adopted by the Sioux tribe, although he is Cherokee by blood. "Star Keeper" is his Sioux name.

Phillips has an overload of solar energy in his chart which reflects his success in regal roles (and perhaps the choice of his stellar Sioux name): Moon in Leo in the 12th (the house of film), Leo North Node right on his Leo Ascendant, and Uranus in Leo ruling and opposing his Sun from the 1st house (in Mutual Reception).

Stephen Fry (English comedian, actor, writer, presenter)

* With a very close and very powerful conjunction of the Sun and Pluto on his 29° Leo Ascendant, Stephen Fry holds sway over the masses. An acclaimed comedian, he has won an Emmy, his books are bestsellers and he wields considerable influence through Twitter, having over four million followers. On the flipside, he has bipolar disorder and has attempted suicide on a number of occasions. Humour is perhaps his greatest asset, while the sextile from Neptune in the first degree of Scorpio to his tight triple conjunction is his saving grace.

Johnny Bush (American country music singer, songwriter, and drummer)

* Johnny Bush, nicknamed the "Country Caruso," is best known for his distinctive voice and as the writer of "Whiskey River," a top-ten hit for himself and Willie Nelson's signature song. In the early 1970s, Bush lost half of his vocal range and was sometimes unable to talk. RCA dropped him in 1974 after three albums, he developed a drug habit, and was often stricken with performance anxiety. After several misdiagnoses, doctors diagnosed the cause in 1978, when they discovered he had a rare neurological disorder called spasmodic dysphonia. He worked with a vocal coach in 1985, and was able to regain seventy percent of his original voice. Bush has an exact conjunction of Mercury and the Sun (vocal expression) quincunxed by Pluto in the 6th, the House of health issues.

Bill Boyd, 1910–1977 (American Western style singer and guitarist)

* In 1932, Bill Boyd formed the pioneering western swing band "The Cowboy Ramblers" with himself on guitar. The Cowboys Ramblers made more than 225 recordings between 1934-1951. The band had their own popular radio show, "The Bill Boyd Ranch House." In 1935, the Cowboy Ramblers had a huge hit with their recording of "Under the Double Eagle" which later became a western swing standard and remained in print for twenty five years. Other classics of the 1930s include "I've Got Those Oklahoma Blues", "Fan It", "Wah Hoo", "Beaumont Rag" and "New Steel Guitar Rag". The Cowboy Ramblers became major stars on radio and were offered work in Hollywood films and Boyd eventually appeared in six Western films during the 1940s. For his contribution to radio, Bill 'Cowboy Rambler' Boyd has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6101 Hollywood Blvd.

Jesse Belvin, 1932–1960 (American R&B singer, pianist and songwriter)

* Jesse Belvin was a popular recording artist in the 1950s, but his success was cut short by his death in a car crash aged 27.

Belvin had Uranus in Aries on his Ascendant, as did James Dean. Each died in a car accident.

Harry Babasin, 1921-1988 (American jazz bassist, nicknamed "The Bear")

* In 1947, Harry Babasin recorded the first cello solos known in jazz music, with the Dodo Marmarosa Trio. In order to do so, he tuned his strings in fourths. In later cello ensembles he added a bass player. He and Oscar Pettiford did a session together with two cellos. In the mid-1950s, he put together his own ensemble, Harry Babasin & the Jazzpickers, who played regularly at the Purple Onion in Hollywood; this ensemble released three albums. His career cooled in the 1960s; he supported Bob Hope on USO tours. In the 1970s he and Roy Harte initiated the Los Angeles Theaseum, a jazz archive and preservation society.

Babasin had Mars unaspected in its own sign Aries. Surely the mark of a true pioneer.

Helen Wagner, 1918–2010 (American actress)

* Helen Wagner is best known for her long-running role as Nancy Hughes McClosky on the soap opera As the World Turns. Wagner was also the longest serving actor on an American soap opera. She also appeared on the early soap Valiant Lady, as well as on 1950s primetime programs including The World of Mr. Sweeney, Mister Peepers, Inner Sanctum, and the Philco-Goodyear Playhouse. Wagner died from cancer on May 1, 2010, at the age of 91.

Wagner had Venus and Saturn conjunct her Leo Moon (all on the MC), adding extra appeal and longevity to her popularity as an actress.

He had roles in such films as JFK, Varsity Blues, Michael, Hope Floats, Leap of Faith, Paper Moon, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Flesh and Bone, and Noon Wine. Harrell taught acting at the Dallas Theater Center and had leading roles in numerous productions. He also taught stage and film acting at Southwest Texas State University for 24 years, retiring in 1994 as an Associate Professor.

Van Williams (American actor, "The Green Hornet")

* Van Williams is best known for his starring role as Britt Reid/the Green Hornet in the hit American TV series The Green Hornet (1966–1967).

Williams has double-identity Mercury in Pisces ruling his Gemini MC.

The late Bruce Lee played opposite Williams as the Green Hornet's partner, Kato. William's Virgo Ascendant is conjunct Lee's MC
