Megan Gale (Australian model, brand ambassador, fashion designer, actress)

* Aussie beauty, Megan Gale, has an English father and a mother of Maori descent. She won a modelling competition in Perth at 18, and later modelled for various Italian fashion houses and appeared in several Italian films. She was lauded in the Italian media as "The new Sophia Loren" (Gale and Loren each have Venus at 11° Virgo; i.e. exactly conjunct in their synastry!).
NATAL DATA and ASTROLOGY CHART

BIRTH DATA: Megan Kate Gale, 7 August 1975, circa 01:00 (1 AM) AWST (-8), Perth, Western Australia, Australia (31s57, 115e51). ASC: Taurus. RR: C. SOURCE: Sy Scholfield quotes Gale for her rising sign in "Princess Diary," Sunday Telegraph [Sydney], 12 Nov. 2006: "I'm a Leo but I think my true self is more like my rising sign, Taurus. I find my Leo qualities emerge when I'm working: I'm more flamboyant, more ambitious, confident and driven. At home I'm more Taurean: a bit earthier, but always stubborn."

NOTE: Taurus was rising from 12am to 2:02am and from 11:36pm to 12 midnight. The time of 1am is speculative. The Moon was in Leo throughout these periods.

Diana Vreeland, 1903–1989 (French-American magazine editor and fashion journalist)

* Wikipedia gives at least two different dates of birth for Diana Vreeland (29/7/1903 and 29/9/1903) and her birth certificate gives another (29/12/1903), but the certificate is dated 2 October 1903. Clearly the December date is an impossibility: the clerk made a mistake and should have written "29 September," which is the date specified in her birth notice published in The Times [London, England] on 2 October 1903.

Many thanks to Marc Brun for acquiring the birth certificate for us!

Vreeland is a fashion icon: Neptune on her Ascendant rules Jupiter in Pisces on her MC. From 1936 until her resignation in 1962, she ran a column for Harper's Bazaar called "Why Don't You?". She was editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine from 1963 until 1971. Vreeland advised First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in matters of style and she is credited with inventing the word "pizzazz."

Neptune on the Ascendant can also bring confusion about the circumstances of a person's birth but in Vreeland's case the mystery surrounding her date of birth has now been solved!

NATAL DATA and ASTROLOGY CHART

BIRTH DATA: Diana Dalziel, 29 September 1903, 22:30 (10:30 PM) (-0:09:20), Paris, France (48n52, 02e20). ASC: 12 Cancer. RR: AA (birth certificate in hand). SOURCE: Birth certificate obtained by Marc Brun, dated 2 October 1903 and mistakenly stating date of birth as 29 December. Date of birth confirmed by her birth notice found by Sy Scholfield in The Times, 2 October 1903, p. 1: "DALZIEL.--On the 29th ult., at 5 Avenue de Bois de Boulogne, Paris . . . a daughter."

Rue McClanahan, 1934–2010 (American actress, comedian, author, fashion designer)

* Rue McClanahan's birth certificate has been published on the official website of her estate, showing the time of birth recorded as 7pm and her name as "Eddi-Rue McClanahan." Previously, Frank Clifford quoted a written form filled in by her, with a time of 7:30pm from her mother's memory.

The time of 7pm puts Neptune and the Moon very close to the Ascendant and MC respectively. McClanahan won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 1987 for her role as Blanche Devereaux on The Golden Girls (1985–1992).

Thanks to Susan Carmichael for finding the BC.

NATAL DATA and ASTROLOGY CHART

SOURCE: In April 2015, Susan Carmichael found her birth certificate published on the official website of her estate: http://estateofrue.com/catalog/rues-certified-birth-certificate-sold/

Conchita Wurst (Austrian singer, fashion designer, gender illusionist)

* In May 2014 Conchita Wurst (AKA Tom Neuwirth) won the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen with the song "Rise Like a Phoenix." An apt song title for her Scorpio stellium, including Sun conjunct Pluto. The gorgeous Conchita has Taurus rising ruled by Venus conjunct the Moon in Libra, surely showing excellent prospects for her fashion design career. With her trademark beard, she has an unusual appearance that challenges traditional concepts of gender and sexuality: Uranus in the 8th House quincunxes her Ascendant and in turn is ruled by Jupiter in her 1st House.

NATAL DATA and ASTROLOGY CHART

BIRTH DATA: Thomas Neuwirth, 6 November 1988, 17:00 (5 PM) MET (-1), Gmunden, Austria (47n55, 13e48). ASC: 24 Taurus. RR: A (from mother's memory). SOURCE: Sy Scholfield quotes Tom/Conchita's mother Helga Neuwirth in the Austrian documentary, "Conchita Wurst: To Eurovision" (ORF, 2014; viewed on SBS2 TV, Australia, 5 June 2014, English subtitles), in which she says that she was in labour with Tom/Conchita for 12 hours "from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m."

Daisy Fellowes, 1890-1962 (French fashion icon)

* The notoriously caustic Daisy Fellowes had Saturn in Leo in the 8th House ruling her Ascendant in the first degree of Capricorn.

WIKIPEDIA BIOGRAPHY

The Hon. Daisy Fellowes (April 29, 1890 – December 13, 1962) was a celebrated 20th-century society figure, acclaimed beauty, minor novelist and poet, Paris Editor of American Harper's Bazaar, fashion icon, and an heiress to the Singer sewing machine fortune. She died in Paris.

Her first husband, whom she married 10 May 1910 in Paris, was Jean Amédée Marie Anatole, Prince of Broglie. He died of influenza on 20 February 1918 while serving with the French Army in Mascara, Algeria, though malicious observers gossiped that he actually committed suicide as a result of his homosexuality having been exposed. They had three daughters:

Of her Broglie children, the notoriously caustic Daisy once said, "The eldest is like her father, only more masculine. The second is like me, only without the guts. And the last is by some horrible little man called Lischmann."

Her second husband, whom she married on August 9, 1919 in London, was the Hon. Reginald Ailwyn Fellowes (1884–1953). He was a banker cousin of Winston Churchill and the son of William Fellowes, 2nd Baron de Ramsey. They had one child, Rosamond Daisy Fellowes (1921–1998).

Among her lovers was Duff Cooper, the British ambassador to France.

Fellowes wrote several novels and at least one epic poem. Her best-known work is Les dimanches de la comtesse de Narbonne (1931, published in English as Sundays). She also wrote the novel Cats in the Isle of Man.

She was known as one of the most daring fashion plates of the 20th century, arguably the most important patron of the surrealist couturier Elsa Schiaparelli. She was also a friend of the jeweller Suzanne Belperron.

Christian Bérard, a.k.a. Bébé (New Astrology data and chart)

* Christian Bérard's birth record reveals he was born at 9:30 p.m.

Christian Bérard (20 August 1902, Paris – 11 February 1949), also known as Bébé, was a French artist, fashion illustrator and designer. Bérard and his lover Boris Kochno, who worked for the Ballets Russes and was also co-founder of the Ballet des Champs-Elysées, were one of the most prominent openly homosexual couples in French theater during the 1930s and '40s.

HOROSCOPE NOTES

Many Leo-Sun-and-Pisces-Moon people find their niche in the performing arts. Taurus-rising Bérard found his place as an artistic set designer.
