The daughter of publicans, she trained as a carpenter and joiner, and later taught carpentry and joinery at Mid-Warwickshire College, Leamington Spa.
From the introduction of the BDO Women's World Championship in 2001, Gulliver remained undefeated in the competition until her defeat in the 2008 Championship. She has the 8 highest winning 3 dart averages in the Women's World Championship including 3 winning average higher than 90.
She lives in Cheddar, Somerset with her England ladies' darts colleague and partner Sue Gulliver. They married in a civil partnership in July 2010.

* Paul Kantner is known for co-founding Jefferson Airplane, a leading psychedelic rock band of the counterculture era, and its more commercial spin-off band Jefferson Starship. Kantner led Jefferson Airplane through its highly successful late 1960s period.
Kantner had the longest continuous membership with Jefferson Airplane; at times he was the only founding member still in the band from the original lineup, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with other band members in 1996.
Kantner had three children; sons Gareth (a film producer), and Alexander (a musician who sometimes played with Jefferson Starship), and daughter China (a former MTV VJ and actress; his child with Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship singer Grace Slick).
Kantner died in San Francisco at the age of 74 on 28 January 2016 due to multiple organ failure and septic shock after he suffered a heart attack days earlier.

Highway has also published a novel, Kiss of the Fur Queen (1998), which is based on the events that led to his brother René Highway’s death of AIDS. He also has the distinction of being the librettist of the first Cree language opera, The Journey or Pimooteewin.
He was artistic director of Native Earth Performing Arts in Toronto from 1986 to 1992, as well as De-ba-jeh-mu-jig theatre group in Wikwemikong.
He currently divides his time between residences in Noelville, Ontario and in France with Raymond Lalonde, his partner of 31 years.

* Patrick Dennis's novel Auntie Mame: An Irreverent Escapade (1955) was one of the bestselling American books of the 20th century. In chronological vignettes, the narrator — also named Patrick — recalls his adventures growing up under the wing of his madcap aunt, Mame Dennis. Dennis wrote a sequel, Around the World with Auntie Mame, in 1958. Dennis based the character of Mame Dennis on his father's sister, Marion Tanner. He also wrote several novels under the pseudonym Virginia Rowans. All of Dennis's novels employ to some degree the traditional comic devices of masks, subterfuge and deception.
Auntie Mame was played by Rosalind Russell (in a 1956 Broadway production and in the highly successful 1958 screen adaptation), by Angela Lansbury (in Jerry Herman's 1966 musical Mame), and by Lucille Ball (in the 1974 film version).
The flamboyant and exuberant Mame's frequently repeated motto is "Life is a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death!" She is represented by Neptune at 11° Leo in Patrick Dennis's chart, as channelled through synastry by these starring ladies: Rosalind Russell had her MC at 14° Leo, Angela Lansbury had 21° Leo rising, and Lucille Ball had her Sun at 13° Leo.

* Marie-Luise Marjan is best known for her role as Helga Beimer in the German Television Series Lindenstraße (created by Hans W. Geißendörfer in 1985). She was the heroine in Wolfgang Petersen's drama Smog and has also played in films by Werner Schroeter (Palermo oder Wolfsburg, Tag der Idioten) and Rainer Werner Fassbinder (Berlin Alexanderplatz). In the German Version of Murder, She Wrote, Immer wenn sie Krimis liest (1994), she has portrayed a detective, Anita De Winter, like Angela Lansbury. In Shrek 2 and Shrek 3 Marie-Luise Marjan is the German voice of Queen Lilian (Julie Andrews).
In 2010, she was presented with the Cross of Merit, First class of the Federal Cross of Merit.

* Budgie (photographed in 1986, at left) made his first recording with The Slits in 1979. He then became the drummer of the influential band Siouxsie and the Banshees (1979–1996) and its side project The Creatures (1981–2004). Budgie has also collaborated with other musicians including John Cale and Leonard Eto (formerly of the Kodo Drummers).
In 2013, Spin rated him at No. 28 in their list of "The 100 Greatest Drummers of Alternative Music," writing: "Post-punk introduced a lot of amazing drummers, but none more influential than Budgie. With the Banshees, Budgie didn't just play rhythms—he played hooks and leads, brilliant parts that set the songs on fire. His tom-tom-intensive approach, [was] enlightened by his awareness of world music."

* Casey Legler has been described as the "world's first female male model" after becoming the first woman to exclusively sign on the men's books of Ford Models.
She was born in the South of France, attended school in Florida, and began competitive swimming at the age of 12. She competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics at the age of 19.
Legler came out as lesbian when she was 21.
She is currently writing a memoir about her swimming career, due for release next year.

* Nicholas II was the last Emperor of Russia. He ruled from 1 November 1894 until his forced abdication on 15 March 1917. His reign saw Imperial Russia go from being one of the foremost great powers of the world to economic and military collapse.

* Geri Jewell was the first person with a disability to have a regular role on a prime time American TV series, when she played Cousin Geri, on the sitcom The Facts of Life from 1980 to 1984. The title of her autobiography, I’m Walking As Straight As I Can refers to both Jewell’s lesbianism and cerebral palsy.
Uranus in a chart can indicate how a person handles their difference (and other people's reactions to it). Jewell has Uranus personalised in dramatic Leo through a conjunction with Venus, the ruler of her Libran Ascendant. * On 13 November 2010, while on honeymoon in South Africa, newly-weds Shrien and Anni Dewani, from Bristol, were kidnapped at gunpoint in Gugulethu, a township near Cape Town. Shrien was released unharmed by his kidnappers, but only a few hours later Anni's brutally murdered body was found in the back seat of the taxi she had been travelling in. She had been shot in the neck.

* A new biography of Benedict Cumberbatch gives his birth time as "12pm." If we take 12 a.m. as the start of the day, then 12 p.m. means noon. In which case, Cumberbatch has Pluto on the Ascendant - both in Libra - ruled by Venus in dramatic Leo.

* Hallam Tennyson served as the second Governor-General of Australia, 1903-1904. His rising Mars in Libra (hidden in the 12th) and unaspected Pluto were put to the challenge when tensions developed with the Prime Minister, Alfred Deakin, over the ambiguity of Tennyson's position. Unknown to the public, Deakin did not encourage Tennyson to seek an extension of his one-year term and Tennyson left Australia in January 1904 to universal expressions of approval.
