* Prince Fumihito is the second son of Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko and currently second in line to the Chrysanthemum Throne. Since his marriage to Kiko Kawashima on 29 June 1990, he has held the title of Akishino-no-miya (generally translated into English as Prince Akishino) and headed his own branch of the imperial family. Prince and Princess Akishino have two daughters and one son. Prince Fumihito received a PhD degree in ornithology from the Graduate University for Advanced Studies in October 1996. He conducted field research in Indonesia in 1993 and 1994, in Yunnan Province in the People's Republic of China. Margaret Tudor, 1489–1541 (Queen consort of Scotland)

* Margaret Tudor's birth was recorded in the Beaufort Book of Hours, a royal family chronicle inherited by Henry VIII’s grandmother, Lady Margaret Beaufort (after whom Margaret was named). According to the Book, Margaret Tudor was born "at Westminster at night after the ninth hour a quarter."

Margaret's Ascendant was in Leo, the sign of royalty, and she had Neptune-Mars and her North Node in a Leo decan in the 5th, the royal house.

Upon her marriage to James IV, she became Queen of Scotland.

WIKIPEDIA BLURB

Margaret Tudor (28 November 1489 – 18 October 1541), born at Westminster Palace, was the elder of the two surviving daughters of Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York, and the elder sister of Henry VIII. In 1503, she married James IV, King of Scots. James died in 1513, and their son became King James V. She married secondly Archibald Douglas, 6th Earl of Angus. Through her first and second marriages, respectively, Margaret was the grandmother of both Mary, Queen of Scots, and Mary's second husband, Lord Darnley. Margaret's marriage to James IV foreshadowed the Union of the Crowns - their great-grandson, King James VI of Scotland, the child of Mary and Darnley, became King of England and Ireland on the death of Margaret's fraternal niece, Elizabeth I of England.

Arthur Tudor, Prince of Wales, 1486–1502 (English royal)

* Arthur Tudor was the first son of King Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York. He died suddenly, at age fifteen. When Henry VII later died, Arthur's younger brother, Henry, became king as King Henry VIII.

The times of birth of Arthur and his sister, Margaret (see her chart), were recorded in the Beaufort Book of Hours, a family chronicle inherited by Henry VIII’s grandmother, Lady Margaret Beaufort. While the date of birth of the future Henry VIII was recorded in the book, his time of birth was not recorded, because he was the third born of Henry VII's children and thus he did not rank highly enough.

According to the Book, "in the morning afore one of the clock after midnight was born Prince Arthur at Winchester."

Puyi, 1906–1967 (Chinese monarch)

* Puyi — the twelfth and final ruler of the Qing Dynasty and the last Emperor of China — had the North Node conjunct the MC both in royal Leo, opposed and ruled by the Sun on the South Node and IC — all in anti-royal Aquarius. The Sun was trined from the 8th house by Pluto, the ruler of his Scorpio Ascendant: PuYi was a prisoner of power, ruling in name only and ultimately powerless. Chosen by Empress Dowager Cixi (see her chart) on her deathbed, PuYi ruled as a child emperor, 1908-1912, as a nominal emperor in 1917, and as the emperor of the Japanese-controlled puppet state of Manchukuo, 1934-1945. After the People's Republic of China was established in 1949, Puyi was imprisoned as a war criminal for 10 years and wrote his memoirs.

Cixi, 1835-1908 (Chinese Empress Dowager)

* Empress Dowager Cixi was a powerful and charismatic woman who unofficially but effectively controlled the Manchu Qing Dynasty in China for 47 years, from 1861 to her death in 1908. Known as the 'Dragon Lady,' she had Saturn rising in Scorpio (as did 'Iron Lady' Margaret Thatcher). If we take at face value the time of birth of "four o'clock in the morning" given in a biography, then CiXi had 29° Libra rising. And indeed, she was adept at consolidating her political power through the manipulation of her close relations.

An imperial concubine in her adolescence, Cixi gave birth to the emperor's son, known as the Tongzhi Emperor, in 1856. On the emperor's death in 1875, she ousted a group of regents appointed by him and assumed regency over the Tongzhi Emperor. Cixi then consolidated control over the dynasty when, at the death of her Emperor son, contrary to the rules of succession, she installed her nephew as the Guangxu Emperor in 1875. She died a day after Guangxu.

NATAL DATA and ASTROLOGY CHART

BIRTH DATA: CiXi, 29 November 1835, 04:00 (4 a.m.) LMT (-7:45:40), Beijing, China (39n55, 116e25). ASC: 29 Libra. RR: B (from biography). SOURCE: Sy Scholfield (©) quotes Harry Hussey, Venerable Ancestor: The Life and Times of Tz'u Hsi, 1835-1908 (New York: Doubleday, 1949), p. 1: "The place was one of the old sections of the Tatar city of Peking, out near the Hsi Chih Men, the gate in the northwest corner of the city, where the poorer Mongols and Manchus lived. The time was the Double Tenth, the tenth day of the Tenth Moon of the fifteenth year of the reign of Tao Kuang, November 28, 1835, as the Western peoples reckon time. It was the Hour of the Tiger (four o'clock in the morning) ― the hour in in which so many people are born and so many die in China. . . . A child was being born to the Manchu woman and Grandfather Wong was much worried." NB: Hussey seems to have calculated the wrong day, as current references give 29 November. See for example, an online Chinese calendar converter (http://www.asia-home.com/china/sollunar.php) and Marina Warner, The Dragon Empress: Life and Times of Tz'u-hsi 1835-1908 Empress Dowager of China (Random House, 2012): "Tz'u-hsi was born Lan Kuei (Little Orchid) in 1835, on the tenth day of the tenth moon, which fell that year on 29 November."
