Pierre et Gilles (French artists)

** "Pierre et Gilles" are romantic/life partners known for their highly-stylized and retouched photographs which feature images from popular culture, gay culture (including porn), and religion. Famous people photographed by Pierre et Gilles include pop stars like Marc Almond, Marilyn Manson, Madonna, and Kylie Minogue; actresses like Tilda Swinton and Catherine Deneuve; and designers like Jean-Paul Gaultier and Paloma Picasso. The duo have Gemini rising in their composite chart, ruled by Mercury in exact conjunction with the Sun and Neptune in Libra. Not to mention unaspected Venus in the last degree of Libra in the creative 5th House. How very artistic! Data and charts below. Many thanks to Marc Brun for finding the data for me.

Brassaï, 1899-1984 (Hungarian photographer, sculptor, filmmaker)

* Brassaï ― the Transylvanian photographer who achieved fame with his first monograph Paris de nuit (Paris by Night), a collection of his dark images ― had an unaspected conjunction of Jupiter and the Moon in Scorpio.

George Brassaï (pseudonym of Gyula Halász) (9 September 1899 — 8 July 1984) was a Hungarian photographer, sculptor, and filmmaker who rose to international fame in France in the 20th century. He was one of the numerous Hungarian artists who flourished in Paris beginning between the World Wars. In the early 21st century, the discovery of more than 200 letters and hundreds of drawings and other items from the period 1940–1984 has provided scholars with material for understanding his later life and career.
