* "Doc" Watson had accomplished Saturn in Libra on his Ascendant in mutual reception with musical Venus in Capricorn. He won seven Grammy awards as well as a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Libra is an air sign associated with stringed instruments. Watson is widely acknowledged as a guitar icon, particularly for his masterly flatpicking skills, i.e. plucking his guitar with a triangle-shaped plectrum. He has a triangular Grand Water Trine involving a twangy Sun-Uranus conjunction in Pisces, Jupiter in Scorpio and its ruler Pluto in Cancer on the MC.

Watson's flatpicking skills and knowledge of traditional American music are highly regarded. Gustavson writes that "Orthel Lane Watson" - a misspelling of his name - is written on his birth certificate, so the birth data possibly comes from this document.
